Beginners
Theater Games and other improvisational techniques not only make an excellent introduction to theater training; the experience enhances creativity and trust of one's self and builds confidence to "act in the moment," be it in everyday life, on the job, or breaking through creative barriers.

The Next Stage creates a place where anyone can overcome self-consciousness or shyness, starting with children's games and ice breakers that invite us to reconnect with the spirit of the child.

Actors
All great actors are improvising off the script. Acting training and rehearsal process MUST be improvisational to capture the naturally spontaneous quality of real life.

The Next Stage improvisational techniques allow actors to be playful and focused, enabling the ability to relax and discover choices in the moment.

Directors
Directors need specific techniques to help actors “get out of their heads” and allow the spark of spontaneous electricity to erupt, flow effortlessly and surprise.
The Next Stage offers a safe, supportive environment to bring out the genius in everyone. We give directors tools to help understand what the actors' process is, and how to elicit believable emotions.

"The dynamic principle of fantasy is play which belongs also to the child,
and as such it appears to be inconsistent with the principle of serious work.
But without the playing with fantasy, no creative work has ever come to birth."
- Carl G. Jung
